Autumn Began Today
Summer has ended! We had the first real rains in a long time here over the past couple of days but today the air has turned warm and muggy again. Not complaining though because the garden is lush and green. The weeds are growing at their usual fast pace and I can drag the loaded laundry racks out of the musty tool shed where I pushed them as the first drops fell and put them in their rightful place on the back lawn.
Just before it rained I took photos of the brugmansia in the front garden. I'm always tempted to run out with the camera and see if their upturned edges can be viewed from a new angle. Well I guess not this time but I'm happy to capture their clusters of pristine trumpets as long as they hang so gracefully in our front garden.
You see what happens when you have your sprinkler turned on for a morning.
It will bring on the rain for sure a few hours later!
Thanks for dropping by. Have a good weekend and hasta la vista!

Your Autumn is very different from what mine will be. Our calendar says Autumn, but my gardens are still dancin' in the Summer sun. Soon enough it will all change. You have a lovely blog. Your brugmansia is simply enchanting. I have so enjoyed my visit. I'll come again!
What a beautiful plant! I don't think I've ever seen one except in pictures.
Autumn is very welcome here. We're having night temps in the low 40s - great sleeping weather! The lavender and sage are about spent, but still heavy with bees trying to work every last petal for pollen. What few trees are here are beginning to turn their yellows and reds. I’m ready. It’s my favorite time of the year.
Hi,
I know what you mean when you mentioned trying to get yet another new angle on the plant with your camera. The Brugmansia is absolutely stunning, and always best in just plain white I think.
Thanks for sharing.
I want to say the same that your autumn is very different from ours and others. By the way the pictures you have clicked are truly fabulous and outstanding. I think you have good knowledge of photography so please give guidance to me also.
Thank you Meredehuit...We still have very warm days here too even though we've had a bit of rain. The tulip trees are blooming again. I'll try and post a photo of them.
Renee...How I miss those autumn leaf colours from my B.C. homeland. I could use a few cooler nights too. I'm still kicking off the covers while trying to sleep.
Gary I'm impressed with your care of your lawnmower. I wish our gardener loved our machine as much! :-)
cheap holidays.. you will see a link to some photo tutorials on my blog. Thanks for your visit.
